Why the long face?

So first of all, I am sure you all were wondering why the heck I put a giant picture of a Native man on my last blog. The reason is - I found it on my sister's computer on Saturday night and laughed really hard. You see I grew up mostly on Vancouver Island, and in this one town I lived in, Chemainus, they had Murals EVERYWHERE. This picture is from one of the murals that I always used to look at when I was in town. Another cool mural was this one of a whole bunch of Oxen, and they stared at you.. and their eyes followed you as you walked by.. it was incredible art!

So onto bigger and better things! Sunday was crazy. I had church at 9:00 am! Dang it Nelly, I had to get up 15 minutes earlier than usual!. They changed service times.. it used to be 9:15am... OH man. From now on - its the Saturday evening service for me!! After church, we had a baby shower at my house for my moms friend. The baby was REALLY cute! But I left early to go play football with some friends! That was a hoot. I didnt sprain my finger this time - it was a huge accomplishment for me. But then again, this time I didnt try to catch any balls. I stuck strictly to tackling and being the quarterback (and yelling out random numbers before hutting).

After the crazy football game, Heather and I went to Andrea's house - where we sat on her couch for THREE hours and talked about almost nothing! LOL amazing how girls just talk... a lot. But that ended my night off nicely. And then I hit the sack - but not too hard. I was told to be gentle - those pillows can be dangerous!

TODAY was AMAZING. I got to SLEEEEEP in. I love doing that. Monday's are my favourite day of the week. I stayed in my PJ's until about 2:20 this after noon. I wrote two papers today too! It was such a feat for me. And this evening, I went to Youth Alpha training. That was dang fun. Im stoked about going. Turns out tho, that the people Josh lives with are working with Youth Alpha as well, and in random conversation I was asked if I knew 4 nice boys from Grand Forks that were living in Abbotsford. That being said, the conversation ended in me calling up Josh to get him to come out! Did you know we only have one male volunteer now? (btw, thanks Josh for coming out!) And for all of you guys out there with musical talent, we still need some people to do worship if you are interested!?!

After Youth Alpha training, I drove my sister to Wal Mart to buy a journal... but you wouldnt believe what i found there!!!!... A Wal Mart Pez! It is a white semi truck with WalMart written on the sides! Oh Joy.. it was amazing. I was so dang happy when I saw that - like who the heck thinks of these things?

Well That's all for today Folks. I wish you all sweet dreams about buying Wal Mart Pez candy things! Oh By the way guys, I have decided that the RoughRider's Jersey wasnt as beautiful as I thought it would be, So im gonna cheer for the Lions! Orange isnt THAT bad of a colour! lol
