An Earful
This past weekend had to have been one of the SLOWEST weekends in a very long time. Usually time flies because it is the only time I have off, but due to my day off Friday, it was extended. Friday evening I watched a horrific movie at Heather's house. Now the movie wasnt really that horrific, but the ending made me so upset! It was "The Guardian" (with Ashton Kutcher). Yep, I dont reccomend that pain to any of you out there.
Saturday was a gong show. Rachel and I got to the Chilliwack Campus (UCFV) And found that the doors were locked. Our entire class stood outside for 45 minutes until the security guard finally showed up to let us in. I was very thankful that it was decent weather! The class went super long, and I am pretty sure Rachel and I were the only ones who took a lunch break. There was so much work to be done! We acutally were kicked out at 3:45 cuz the class had been over for 15 minutes and the prof wanted to go home. Yah.. then the real excitement came. Rachel wanted to check out the Express Tim Hortons in Esso down the street to see if they have cookies. (Rachel is a cookie monster... much like myself) and I was certain that they wouldnt have ANY cookies at all - my reasoning was that the timmies at my old gas station never had any. We made a bet, and you all know how it ends. I lost. I had to buy! Who can complain tho? I mean, I got to ride home eating cookies and listening to country music in the sun... nothin better. Haha.
I went to see Nelson's play on Saturday night with my lil sister. It was Fabulous... "Annie Get Your Gun". Who'd of thought that it was a western themed musical?!? I thought it would take place in the city and what not... I was thrilled to say the least.
Sunday was the longest day out of all the weekend. I went to church with my fam and then had hours to kill before the worship service at CBC that evening. I wanted to go shopping for a truck (if you are selling a small truck, please let me know!), but that didnt happen due to some unforseen circumstances of a friend not coming with me! I went for a drive by myself and that was nice. I like drives because they give me time to ponder life, while doing something at the same time. The worship service was flippin amazing! And after hearing some fanstatic music, Leanne, Ryley and I went out to Timmies for some fun before retiring to our own homes for the evening. (Always good fellowship at timmies).
I worked on Monday... right beside good ole Delair park! I only got sworn at once and that suprised me... most people arent too happy when being stopped for 10-15 minutes on their way to work/school/whatever. I worked with a new crew too. They werent as talkative as the last companies I have worked with.. but they were nice. I'd work with them again if the opportunity came. After work, I went home, had a GREAT shower and then spent the entire evening working on payroll assignments. It was a late night.
Today has been alright. I love my drives to school in the morning because I have become a morning person again and I am just happy to be awake! I crank up the tunes and dance my way to school.. teehee. Then in OT survey, I am learning so much! I never realized how relevant the Old Testament stories are to our lives!!! I have to say that I have probably grown more spiritually this semester than last because I am acutally starting to understand what is being taught around me! You cant know the NT until you know the OT!
Thats all for today Folks. I need to be doing something productive.. and then perhaps go to class. Tonight is gonna be full of bookkeeping! I'll possibly need some sanity for that... (i'll look for some on my way to class) Maybe pray for me that I will find sanity somewhere... plz!
Kara
