Im Sorry!
I have really been slacking off on my postings... For that I apologize. This new job of mine has kept me needing sleep like a mad woman! Its all I ever want to do. Last night, I decided to finally get around to reading for my Intro to Youth Work class, and I fell asleep after the first chapter - at 6:30pm!!! Woke up at 8:30pm and thought i had missed my morning class, then I realized that it was PM and not AM, so I went back to sleep and slept until 5, then slept again till 6:30! What a grand Night of sleep! I didnt get much reading done, but I sure felt rested when I woke up. I feel like an old woman; going to bed early every night and not out visiting friends like I usually do! (not that I have many friends, I just recycle the same ones every night!) Im sure they dont mind a break from me :P Incase you havent heard the lastest and greatest news lately (its about me! dontya know?) I will be departing for Hilo, Hawaii on May 31st of 2007! Yep, Im going sailing. It wil be a short, 1 month trip, then I will head back to Grand Forks for a summer of great times and Gospel spreadin! I am utterly stoked for this spring!!! Cant wait to get school over with! Not that I am not enjoying school, its just that I am tired of it for awhile - maybe even forever, we'll see. I have one more month left of my Payroll and Bookkeeping classes! and then 2 months left at CBC. Its amazing how fast this semsester has been going, and I am acutally lovin it this semseter. God has been so good to me!!!
That being said, Work has been pretty much fabulous. All that I have to complain about is the cold, damp weather! That will end soon I hope. I absolutely love lookin like a nut in my brigh orange reflective gear, holding out my stop/slow sign for all the world to see! I have mostly been working in Delta, with a short day in Chilliwack. Tomorrow I will be headed to Aldergrove to stop traffic all on my own! I would have to say the best part of my job is our motto: "Traffic King: Our Girls Stop Traffic." Isnt that great? it works on so many awesome levels! And if you are wondering - we are all girls that work for this company. If you are wondering why,I will explain it very simply to you: Flagging is part of construction and therefore, its more of the 'girls side' of the job because it does not involve so much heavy lifting and what not. Now if a guy was a flagger (which there are some) it just makes them look lazy cuz they dont want to do real mans work! Haha... Sorry to all those male flaggers out there, im sure you have your reasons for what you do.
Well besides work and school, and sleep, I dont do much. I have been known to eat the occasional meal, but that is rare! (im over exaggerating... I do eat, dont worry). I am couting down the days until I high-tail it out of Abbotsford! Its going to be grand. I just want wait for the sun to come out so I can start tanning for Hawaii! Oh beautiful sun! Well off to bed...
Shalom
