Suspicious

Today I figured out what the problem with our world is... Its Aldergrove drivers. I am not sure if it was because I was flagging across from a Seniors Home, or if it was just a bad day for driving.. I dont know. But I have to say that it was enough to almost put me to tears today. I just got to a point (in my 10.5 hour day at work) where I wanted to hit every car with my paddle! Later on this evening, I came up with a great parallel to help you understand why these people were such terrible drivers.

You know when you are trying to train a puppy to stay. So you hold your hand out and motion for them to stay there, while you slowly walk away or turn away from the pup. Then as soon as you arent looking, they creep right up behind you! Silly Dogs. But in all seriousness. I was flagging alone today, and single-laning traffic. So I would wave my wonderful stop sign at people far in advance so they would stop.. then once they stopped, I would put the paddle in my other hand, and hold out my hand to motion to the stopped people to stay (just like a dog), then I would hold the stop sign up to the other side too so that they would all stop. That way the backhoe could actually turn around or the crane could lift the 20000 lb pipes safely. Well everytime I would turn from the stopped traffic, they would start creeping ahead. Then I would have to turn quickly and ge thtem to stop again! This happened EVERY TIME!! OH my goodness. Like commonsense people. Do you want a 20000lb pipe to fall on top of you?!? Do you want the backhoe to hit your car? Probably not! So why the heck wont you stay!?!?

Ive said my peace. Please listen to flaggers. And if you dont know whether you should move or not, then DONT!!! Wait for them to start frantically waving their arm to motion you to go in their direction!... Gosh.

I would just like to say that I both watched the sun come up AND down at work today! haha. After work, I frantically rushed home and got ready - showed up late to Youth Alpha. Then After that night of fun, I went to Carly's and had some ice cream and talked a bit! Havent done that in awhile. (I miss you carly!). Twas a good night. I am flippin sore and definately ready for some sleep soon.

Random Event: Yesterday, I got a random, suspicious parking ticket in the CBC parking lot. Apparently I violated EVERY parking violation possible in ONE day! Haha. And then the biggest fine was changed from $50 to $120. Interesting eh? I didnt know That it was possible to be parked in a fire truck lane, a handicapp parking spot and the visitors parking lot at the same time! (plus i was acutally in the student parking lot). AND I apparently didnt have my parking pass visible, and the parking pass (that was visible) was invalid! So crazy!
